At Shurdington, we define spirituality as “the golden glue which fills the gaps caused by the ‘ows,’ ‘wows’ and even ‘nows’ of life.”

As described by the Diocese of Gloucester:

• The ‘wows’ are our awe and wonder moments. The times when you want to bretaher in an capture the feeling, holding onto it as long as you can. 
• ‘Ows’ are the blows life can bring. They knock the breath out of you.  
• ‘Nows’ are every day ordinary times: being present in the moment, being open and aware of everything going on around you. 

We develop the spirituality in our children through a number of ways, including our worship, dedicated spiritual spaces around the school, our curriculum including Forest Schools, 'Prayer Days' and our 'Experience Days'.
