Harvest

In October our Worship Team and Rev Susan and Rev Dan led two Harvest festivals: one for KS1 then one for KS2. We all brought in food which we then delivered to the Food bank in Cheltenham. We also had a non-school uniform day the day after for World Homeless Day and donated all proceeds to Gloucester City Mission.

Remembrance Day

We hold our Remembrance Service outside each year. In previous years we each make a poppy in class which we then plant outside but this year, following our work on eco-week, we decided to make one thing per class and then plant poppy sees instead. Our Worship Team then lead a short service of reflection using prayers and music before we all hold a minutes silence.

Advent

During Advent we took part in Experience Advent in the church and created a 'reverse advent calendar'. For this we brought in different things each day for Gloucester City Mission.

Christingle

Each year we go to the church to celebrate Christingle. We make the Christingles ourselves the day before, learning about what each part means as we do.

Lent

During Lent we complete our 40 acts of kindness and went to the church for Expeience Lent

Easter Service

Each year members of our church family come in and help lead our worship at Easter. The church also held its Palm Sunday service in school and Rev Susan and members of the team help us prepare for Easter during Lent, incuding giving out ashes on Ash Wednesday.

St George's Day

Each year we hold a special act of worship and non-school uniform day to celebrate St George's Day.

Pentecost

To celebrate Pentecost we held a Pentecost Prayer day for all classes and then parents after school.
