Welcome to the Year 5 page.
Here you will find the latest Critical Path and Topic Web, which provide an overview of what the children are currently learning across the curriculum. We hope you find them useful in supporting and celebrating your child's learning journey throughout the year.
PE and Homework
PE lessons will take place on Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure that children have the correct PE kit in school ready for these days. We will also have swimming lessons and Forest School sessions this year; we will keep you updated on when these will be and what the children will need to bring in.
Maths homework will be available on the homework tab and will be given out each Friday. Spelling homework can be found on the Oxford Owl website - the children can find their login in their reading record. Children should complete their homework and return it by the following Friday. Times table knowledge is essential, we will share lots of ways your children can learn their times tables at home - they also have their TT Rockstars logins in their reading record.
In addition, children are expected to read as much as possible but at least 3 times a week. Regular reading at home is one of the most important ways to support your child's learning and progress throughout the year.
We are so lucky to be teaching your children this year and cannot wait to watch them flourish.
